Advancing further into the ‘wireless battery charging technologies”, England is soon to test auto-chargeable electric cars through an electrically built-in network underlying off-public roads there.
The decision was undertaken by ‘Highways England’, a government agency, after the culmination of the feasibility study into the ground breaking technology.
Previously, electric vehicles had to stop for some duration at electric socket points, fixed after every few kilometers along highways, for re-charge, but this time around, drivers can carry on with their drive while their cars powers up through electromagnetic signals emitted by the underground electrical network .
