Microwave oven is the most widely found electronic appliance after television. It has become a necessity for people. Though it has significant advantages over other ways of cooking and heating, it has a harmful aspect as well. And it is interesting to note that very few people are aware of the harms and negative side effects of using a microwave oven.

Microwave is an electromagnetic radiation which travels at the speed of light just like a radio wave. A tube in the microwave oven, produces this radiation which interacts with the food molecules. The presence of magnetic poles on the electrons in food molecules as well as the radiation makes the food molecules vibrate. This rigorous vibration of electrons million times in a second is what creates the heat in food. This agitation deforms the molecules in food and creates new unnatural radioactive compounds previously unknown to nature. These weird foreign compounds in microwave oven food have been scientifically proved to damage the blood, the digestive system, and our immune systems. Extensive researches have been conducted in Switzerland and Russia which conclude that microwave food can decrease blood hemoglobin; the most important oxygen carrying component, increase white blood cells as a result of infection and increase the chances of digestive system cancers. Therefore, be cautious to use these kinds of harmful consumer items.
